Landscape Maintenance Professionals, Inc. (LMP), seeks a qualified candidate for a Branch Manager position in the Wesley Chapel/Tampa market. As a Branch Manager for LMP, Inc. you will be expected to:

Summary Objective:

Maintain and enhance Landscape Maintenance Professionals, Inc. (LMP, Inc.’s) goal of being recognized as a top performing and highly reputable full service landscape maintenance provider by actively participating in the strategic objectives of:

·  Creating a safe, efficient and productive workplace environment that affords each employee the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the company and themselves.

·  Producing high quality work that is reflective of the standards of service developed by LMP, Inc. inclusive of focusing on the details.

·  Strategically and consistently maximizing operational income.

·  Decreasing expenditures through the management and care of LMP, Inc.’s assets.

·  Cultivating an engaged and motivated employee pool by serving as an effective leader for the branch office assigned.

Essential Functions:

Client Relationship Management:   20% of the time

·  On-board each new client with a start-up no less than 15 days prior to the project start date.

·  Develop supportive and proactive relationships with the branch’s client base for the purposes of achieving a 95% retention rate.

·  Physically inspect client sites to ensure standards established through LMP’s Maintenance Quality Inspections (MQI’s) are being met or exceeded. 

·  Ensure that the branch is meeting client deadlines for service needs.

·  Meet with the branch’s client base no less than quarterly.

·  Attend client/board meetings on a regular basis.

Financial Management Responsibilities:  20% of the time

·  Works in conjunction with Controller, General Manager and Regional Manager to develop an annual budget for the branch.

·  Be responsible for profit and loss management for the branch.

·  Participate in monthly close out meetings in conjunction with the Controller, General Manager and Regional Manager.

·  Assists with the collections of Accounts Receivable for the branch.

·  Ensures that billing for the branch is completed on a weekly basis, and in an accurate fashion.

·  Ensures all contractual requirements are performed within both the scope and budget.

Facilities & Equipment Management:  10% of the time

·  Serves as a designated point of emergency contact.

·  Addresses all branch maintenance requirements.

·  Participates in the proper use and care of all assets assigned to the branch.

·  Requests the purchase of assets needed for the branch.

·  Manages the inventory of the branch on a monthly basis.

·  Initiates the transfer of vehicles between branches or employees including notifying the appropriate personnel for fleet management tracking.

·  Oversees the fleet maintenance staff at the branch.

Employee Management:   20% of the time

·  Establishes self as an effective and respected leader who understands that they are in a position of influence.  Conveys through behaviors and actions the importance of adhering to the performance standards and expectations set by LMP.

·  Develops teams through recruiting and retention practices.

·  Accepts responsibility for developing and participating in employee training, guidance and/or corrective action, personal improvement plans, and performance management strategies.

·  Manages team members through scheduling and oversight inclusive of monthly quality inspections.

·  Ensures required paperwork for all personnel changes, including new hires and transfers, is completed and submitted in timely and accurate manner.

·  Manages requests for time off in a manner that minimizes business disruptions.

·  Notifies payroll of employee absences and time-off requests in a timely manner.

·  Works with management team to develop career path training opportunities for employees.

·  Effectively implements and manages any and all policy or procedural changes initiated by LMP, Inc.

Safety Management:  20% of the time

·  Demonstrates a knowledge of environmental safety hazards regulated by governmental agencies including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Effectively utilizes this knowledge to limit the exposure of LMP, Inc.’s employees to safety hazards while reducing the opportunity for erroneous information to be provided regarding LMP’s services in relation to environmental hazards.

·  Develops, enforces and monitors all safety protocol procedures to be followed by personnel.

·  Demonstrates an understanding of county, municipality or state regulations that may impact LMP’s services or employees.

·  Effectively implements and manages any and all policy or procedural changes initiated by LMP, Inc.

Sales and/or Estimating:   10% of the time

·  Ensure branch’s non-contractual revenue opportunities are recognized and pursued.

·  Understands, accepts and executes new maintenance contracts within budget specifications.

·  Attends networking and social events, including trade shows, held by industry related organizations such as Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA). Building Managers International (BMI), and the Community Association Institute (CAI) to develop relationships with prospective clients.

·  Actively participates in the identification and qualification of prospective clients through lead generation.


Qualifications:

Required

·  3 to 5 years of progressive experience in client relationship management, financial management including budgeting and profit and loss management, personnel and employee management, team building and development, safety management, asset management, and business management experience.

·  Valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record.

·  Demonstrated time management skills.

·  Best Management Practices Certified or the ability to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Preferred

·  Degree in horticulture or other discipline relevant to the landscape industry.

·  3-5 years of progressive experience as a supervisor or manager in the landscape management industry.

Competencies:

·  Effective and clear communication skills.

·  Demonstrable problem solving skills.

·  Demonstrable proficiency with landscape maintenance equipment.

·  Ability to train personnel on the proper use and care of landscape maintenance equipment.

·  Ability to safely operate company vehicles.

·  Ability to understand gross margins, profit and loss statements and budgets.

·  Proficiency in business programs including Outlook®, Excel, Word, and others.

·  Ability to provide accurate estimates and job costing numbers.

·  Demonstrable leadership abilities including conflict resolution, team orientation, and a firm understanding and commitment to LMP, Inc.’s culture, business objectives and goals.

·  Effective time management skills, and the ability to prioritize work functions and demands.

·  Strong knowledge of landscape plant materials, common diseases and pests, and irrigation components.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·  Oversight of all employees assigned to branch.

Work Environment/Conditions:

·  Exposure to outdoor conditions and weather variables.

·  Exposure to an office work environment.

·  Exposure to a high volume of external and internal demands.

·  Weekend/holiday hours as necessary; may include odd work hours if and when emergencies arise.

·  Requires use of appropriate PPE equipment to limit exposure to potential hazards.

Physical Demands:

·  Must be able to operate business equipment including a computer or laptop, printer, copier, telephone, smart phone, and calculator.

·  Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body in order to be able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and walking for extended periods of time.

·  Must be able to operate landscape maintenance equipment including mowers, edgers, blowers, and pesticide equipment.

·  Must be able to travel to assigned client sites, vendor locations, prospect sites, and other LMP facilities and offices.

·  Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

·  Must be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.

·  Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

·  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
